Laurie Levine

UNENGAGED AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I was a chronically ill wife caring for my terminally ill husband with young adult children in the throes of grief. After a number of family therapy sessions, I learned that Levine was completely ignoring my emails, outside of scheduling confirmations. She called my intake form a book, 3 paragraphs, and never read it as I discovered during a session. She took no responsibility for getting up to speed with a new client. Consequently, our sessions were more that unproductive, they were excruciating painful and caused additional harm to a family already in crisis given she was unprepared and clueless each and every session. She actually spent the last 10 minutes of our last session (Friday at 4pm) cleaning up her office, putting pens away, reading papers on her desk, and then pushing back her chair to file the papers. She was completely unengaged in my family’s crisis. I didn’t see the other online reviews on her, like my experience, until it was too late.

Laurie Levine is a spectacular listener. She hears what I have to say and really thinks before she responds. She has helped me tremendously over the years with all kinds of issues ranging from family stuff, work stuff, relationship stuff and loss. She is funny, insightful and engaging and I look forward to all of our conversations!
