I was turned over to Leslie as my NP retired. I was with Leslie many years. I put all my trust in her. I believed in all guidance she put towards me. I was on so many different medications throughout the years. Doses varied at max and some over. I developed a lot of side effects that had been excused as other issues I had going on. I really believed it. I now know that was not the case. I’m no longer foggy headed, dizzy, fatigued, aching, electrical shocks and so on. I’m on minimal medication now and I am living. Thanks to my family’s guidance, I’m in better care!

The amount of medications she had my family member on was rediculous. I had to get involved because it got to the point my family member couldn’t function. If you questioned her on decisions, she would become hostile and defensive. When we would pick up medications, the pharmacist would be baffled, stating they had never seen a patient on such a high dose. My family member went from 2 full pages (front and back) of medications to only 3 with a new provider. I warn against seeing her. Thank god I was there to intervene.

This woman is an absolute nightmare and I hope NO ONE ever sees her again. I’m reporting her for malpractice to the state and I hope everyone reading this does as well. She withheld my medication from me that I’ve been on for five years and claimed I’m making myself miserable being on it. She said it’s all “in my head”. When I sat on call and begged for her to give it back, she said “fine, only a half dosage, and you’ll never be happy.” This woman has a pattern, as we see in these reviews, and it’s unhealthy and cruel to do to mentally ill people who TRUST in you to do the right thing. I’m so thankful for my support system to help me through this and I hope I never have to see her judgmental, hateful, condescending face again.

If I could leave 0 stars I would have. Leslie was very unprofessional, never looked at me, just typed notes. She wanted to change my medicine and told me I was foolish when I told her I didn’t want to. Stay away!

I’ve been seeing Leslie for many years now, and I have had a really good experience under her care. She seems to really know her meds, and shows a lot of caring. I get the feeling that she is really concerned about me, and treats me as an equal. When another doctor had over dosed me with lithium one time because it would not show up in my blood tests she knew that it was because my kidneys were really efficient at filtration, and that that happens with some people. When I first started seeing her I was taking a medicine that I have to have, and she has always keep me on it. She takes a lot of time to really listen to me. I feel very comfortable with her. The staff seem very friendly as well. I wouldn’t want to change to anyone else for any reason. My thinking and behavior have become much more normal over the years from the meds that she has me on. Anyway though, my condition has greatly improved under her care, and I’m really glad to be her patient. I would recommend her to anyone.

Horrible, bordering on malpractice. I was forced to see Leslie after my provider retired. As other reviewers have mentioned, she changed meds I had been on successfully for years for no reason. She has control issues and is supremely arrogant. Because of her “care” I went from being a highly functioning patient with depression and anxiety, to gaining 70 pounds and considering disability because I could not work as a RN. Even though my previous provider had tested me for ADHD and I was diagnosed with it, she insisted that I didn’t need my medication and refused to prescribe it for me. She also told me that the fact that I had been on different antidepressants since 1996 said more about my personality (personality disorder, which i do not have) than me being switched by providers due to side effects. She is rude, cruel and has ZERO business dealing with anyone with mental health issues. After a few months I begged my PCP to manage my meds until I could get into another provider.

I was thrown to Leslie after my well liked and chosen NP Mike retired. She is a HORRIBLE NP!! She changes your medications without good cause. When you are dealing with people with mental illness, and they have found a great balance of medication that works for them, why would you mess up a good thing, because she is poorly trained. Or she just doesn’t care. I guess since she’s not the one having to go through the process of withdrawal why would she care. The entire visit, she’s typing notes.

Sick of Leslie in Greensboro, NC – Jan 24, 2019

After being treated for depression for 23 years, she changes my diagnosis, took me off my old medicines and put me on new medicines I did not need. My anxiety and depression was debilitating. I would never recommend her to anyone. I was so sick that I almost ended up in a hospital.

When my therapist of 9 years retired, Leslie replaced her. My first visit, she was caring and well spoken, and I was excited. My second visit, she actually didn't know who I was, and realized she had the wrong chart. Strike 1. When I attempted on one occasion to discuss my agoraphobia, she said I didn't have it because if I did I wouldn't leave my house if it was on fire. Strike 2. Not enough characters left but then she called in an incorrect dosage of a very powerful med and didn't care.

Leslie took over with established patients after a very caring and awesome provider retired. She is nothing close to the old provider! Leslie does not listen. All she worries about is typing in her computer. She diagnosis you with something different everytime you go and wants to try numerous medications. She takes you off existing ones cold turkey. Antidepressants that you have taken for years she just makes you stop cold turkey. She is oblivious to patient care, I feel sorry for her patients.

Highly Disappointed in Greensboro, NC – Sep 07, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. O'Neal Brewington?
At first I thought that she was very good - but she took my daughter off Cymbalta cold turkey. My daughter went through terrible withdrawals; headaches, vomiting, mood swings, diarrhea. No one should have to go through what my daughter went through. Tried to call the head of the practice but could not get through to her. Finally spoke with another docter at the practice and he gave us a prescription to stop the nausea. He also had us put her back on a lower dose of the Cymbalta.
