Dr. Linda Ludwig, PHD

Dr. Ludwig was the first therapist I saw when I got the courage to seek help for my mental health back in 2020. I was new to therapy and felt judged by her at times. For example, I had trauma when it came to intimacy with partners and my dad shamed me for being intimate with past partners. I'm not sure if this was said as a solution, but Dr. Ludwig told me that I 'didn't have to be sexually active.' Then after about 6 sessions, she told me she could not be my therapist anymore because my depression was too severe, and we had to give each other hope and said to me verbatim 'You give me no hope you'll get better.' She then told me that I needed trauma therapy. While I agree I did need a more intense treatment than she could provide for me, I wish she hadn't told me I was hopeless or that she at least could have given me a referral to someone who could help me or any information to look for what I needed. It took me another year after this to find the courage to look for help again.
