Linda is warm and engaging--asking helpful questions that have led me to notice patterns of behavior and working to make better mental health decisions for myself. The cast of characters in my life is vast and varied and she pays close attention to all of the players (and their pronouns). We can dive right in even with several weeks off and I always feel my time is valued and that our time spent is valuable. I would highly recommend Linda for her empathy, kindness, and ability to suggest multiple solutions to issues that I'm confronting.

I have been seeing Linda Mates for several years & she has been extremely helpful as I continue to navigate through life. I am my harshest critic & never truly open up to people. Linda has gained my confidence and trust because she is open, caring, honest, professional & non-judgmental. I have been Linda Mates' client for almost ten years. She has helped me process some very traumatic experiences, and in doing so, has helped me become the person I always wanted to be. She demonstrates the perfect balance in a mental health professional: she is empathetic and understanding, but is not afraid to ask tough questions that push you to really examine your thought patterns, life practices, etc. I highly recommend her.

I have been seeing Linda for almost 3 years now. I have been through many different therapists in my life, due to chronic mental illness, and this is the first time I have felt I have found someone who is genuine. She listens to me and builds me up and reminds me I am not my illness. Sometimes she calls me out on things and it’s hard to hear but also explains why she says what she does. If I didn’t need someone to tell me these hard things I probably wouldn’t need to be in therapy.

Horrible, horrible! Impatient and crass. She lacks sympathy and has an ego bigger than most. I would hope that I can feel a level of trust from a professional but get a sense Ms. Mates is just mailing it in waiting for the insurance check or to arrive. Seek alternatives there are plenty of them.
