He started seeing our teen some months ago on a referral from another provider. We have had another social worker and then an education lawyer refer us to recommendations he has apparently made for our family and teen. However, he has never made those recommendations to us. He has never reached out to the legal guardian at all, not even to get background or context on the complex circumstances that led our teen to him in the first place, much less to offer his opinions on what he apparently freely tells third parties the family needs. I am giving two stars because our teen has not complained about him, but overall being completely shut out of what he thinks our kid needs and why is a very dehumanizing experience. He doesn’t seem to recognize or even remotely care that we might have an interest in our own child. This is the opposite of holistic or even remotely thoughtful care.
