Lisa Chan-Owensby, NP

I have thought about this visit for the past 3 years and finally decided to say something in case it might spare someone else what I've been through. I went to see Lisa Chan-Owensby in May of 2017 for a routine women's physical and gyno exam. I don't feel she listened to me at all prior to the exam, even though I expressed concerns around pain during sex and tampon usage to her. While doing my pap, she must have been in a rush. It hurt me so badly that I have been in pelvic floor physical therapy and therapy for the past 3 years trying to remedy the damage this one appointment caused me. She told me I needed to "just relax" and "stop moving away" even though it was clear I was in pain. Anyone who wants a provider who will listen and treat them with kindness and empathy should look elsewhere.

I was extremely impressed with Lisa. She answered all of my questions very thoroughly and gave me a wealth of information about my health concerns. She was very easy to talk to and very pleasant. I did not feel that she was in a hurry at all. I highly recommend her.
