Louise Stormes, LCMHC

I have been a client of Louise's for approx 1.5 years and have really appreciated her support and feedback during a challenging time of great upheaval in several areas of my life. I have tried other counsellors in the past to some disappointment. Louise is the first I have found to strike a balance as both a supportive listener and source of new insights that help me to better understand my feelings and reactions. She offers ideas in a compassionate way and is helping me to move forward.

Louise is a wonderful counselor. I have been a client for over a year. Louise helped me through an extremely difficult personal crisis in a supportive, thoughtful, and gentle way. I “clicked” with Louise after seeing two other therapists. I preferred her style much more and have been extremely pleased with her support and my growth in these past 13 months. I highly recommend Louise.

I spent about a year with Louise and it wasn't very helpful. She was very critical and not very suportive.

I went in to talk to Louis about motivation for about two years. Her only approach was to tell me how much of a loser I was. "No woman will want anything to do with you until you get your act together" or "Who would want to hear what you have to say?" When I tried to talk about family abuse, she would shut me down and dismiss me. She became harsher and harsher, until eventually I attempted suicide. I later received treatment for being sexually abused by my parents. This woman is dangerous.
