Malea Satterwhite, PA-C

Ive been seeing Dr Satterwhite as my primary family physician since I retired from the rail road in Oct 2016. Dr Satterwhite is always caring and she takes time to listen and answer all questions. She is very polite and very professional. He staff is always a pleasure to talk to.

As a healthcare worker myself, I'm always impressed with the level of care given by the team at the U of U Sugarhouse Clinic. Malea Satterwhite was my PCP during the time I was seen there for the last three years. If you can get morning appointments with her, she seems to do better, as she does try to spend as much time as she needs with patients, which can result in her feeling rushed if she gets behind. Whenever I had a health issue that was beyond her scope of experience, she would reach out to other providers to get input and would message me through the patient portal to give updated answers. Malea has a broad range of knowledge, and is very experienced in working with LGBTQ+ patients and making them feel comfortable while helping them.

Malea Satterwhite has been an amazing provider, I personally have been seeing her for almost 2 years, she listens, cares and does her absolute best for her patients. She is smart, good with trans care also and is willing to listen, learn, make adjustments and also learn her patients personal needs and concerns. I definitely would recommend her to anyone wanting a caring, listening, personal experience

Malea spent the time she needed to with me to gain a good understanding of my condition and how to help me treat it. The wait time to see her sometimes is short, sometimes is a little longer, but the care she gives is worth it.

I am supportive of students coming in briefly to an appt. to develop their skills, however I don't expect the whole visit to be with a student who was just trying to remember all the questions she was supposed to ask and not focused on care. It was my first time visiting this doctor and felt a huge disconnect with the care I received. The nurse who took my vitals was the only person I saw that day that really seemed to listen.

Malea is not only knowledgable, but a very caring provider.

As a physician myself, I have been highly impressed by Malea Satterwhite - she is thorough, highly competent, and quite personable.

Condescending, rude, rushed. Terrible provider that I will never return to.

I have seen Malea 4x in the past 2 years. All 4x she greeted me as a new patient - red flag! She does NOT read your chart before entering the room. I had an issue that was chronic, ongoing, worsening w/time. Each time she told me 'someone on staff here' wrote x-y-z the last time I was in. That was you, Malea. You wrote the last note. You wrote all my notes. Twice she wrote me a very $$$ Rx & the pharmacist said, 'why would someone give you this? It won't help your condition.' Incompetent at best
