I found my experience with Dr. Lavipour rather traumatic. She did not listen to my problems and instead tried to tell me things about myself that simply were not true. She invalidated my identity and made me burst into tears when I tried explaining to her that I did in fact know myself. Every time I tried to correct her incorrect presumptions, she kept talking. I have never felt so unsafe or uncomfortable at a therapist's office, and my sessions with her created more damage than they solved.
