Failure In Treatment Plan
I was referred to FPG Endoscopy at Hillview in 2021 by my primary care doctor due to issues with rectal bleeding. An appointment was scheduled with Marie Powers who scheduled me for a colonoscopy with Dr. Chun. The test was conducted in December. A nurse walked me to my car afterwards and handed me an orange folder with results. I was told Dr. Chun did not see anything of concern and so no follow up appointments were scheduled. We called the office the next day and were told it would take at least seven months for an opening to see Dr. Chun or four to see Marie Powers again. The bleeding has increased over time. Staff have told me that my tests were clear and it was not necessary to return for at least five years. We are now in March 2023. I've just had a three night stay at the hospital for severe anemia due to blood loss in the rectal bleeding for which I was sent to Marie Powers that went untreated due to her schedule being too full.
