As the sober husband of an addict in recovery, I found her to be very dismissive of my concerns for my wife's health and safety. I had a list of questions which she either doubletalked through or ignored completely without comment. When I further prodded into the reasoning behind the decisions and the medical basis of them, I was told that my one month sober wife was the authority. We met afterwards a few times but I unfortunately found her to be more of an enabler than a voice of reason to a damaged mind.
