Dr. Marissa Littman, DPT

Dr. Littman makes you feel at ease and she is genuinely interested in what you need and what you expect. She is totally knowledgeable of the human body and how it interacts with each muscle, ligament and organ.

I started seeing Marissa after seeing an orthopedic and receiving a steroid injection for hip pain, and getting no relief. Marissa worked with me and guided me through many different exercises. I began getting relief in just a few weeks and now am doing great 2 months later. She has given many tips and tools to stay pain free. Marissa is very knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to have as a therapist.

Marissa is a godsend for patients with EDS and hypermobility! She has made a significant impact on the improvement of my quality of life and chronic pain through her personalized and thorough care. Marissa is very knowledgeable about EDS and its corresponding comorbidities; she is able to figure out the root of my pain when I enter a flare and subsequently provide adjustments. Plus she’s truly such a pleasure to interact with! I always look forward to an appointment with her!

Dr Littman has been a great help in my recovery from my total hip replacement earlier this year. She has applied and recommended treatments and exercises that has allowed me to return to doing my daily routine in a timely manner.

Marissa is an exceptional physical therapist! I have hEDS and she was the first person I saw when I was considering I could have EDS. Since then I have continued care with her to assist me with my hyper mobile condition. She has given me many stretches and exercises to help strengthen my muscles to compensate for my connective tissue being loosy! With those stretches and exercises if I ever have pain with any of them she modifies it to not cause pain. One stretch we had to modify three or four different ways!! She has been very helpful in reducing the amount of pain I’m in regarding my joints. I’m so glad she was recommended to me and has been with me through the whole EDS journey! I recommend her to almost everyone I talk to especially if they have hyper mobility. I will even recommend her to people who live two hours away because she’s honestly that good! She has worked on almost every part of my body and typically starts a session asking how I’m feeling. Definitely go to her!!

Dr Littman evaluates the entire patient. She assesses the presenting problem expertly. Marissa a fabulous patient advocate & is able to manage patients with complex health issues.

I highly recommend Marissa, especially if you have EDS or any other hyper mobility issues. As someone who has been treated by a lot of doctors who don’t really understand hyper mobility spectrum disorders on a personal, practical level, it’s a huge priority to me to be treated by someone who really knows what they’re doing in regards to hyper mobile joints. She understands why the “typical” approach might not always work well for me, and adjusts accordingly, and I appreciate that Marissa takes continuing education courses to stay on top of new research and techniques.

She always understands what is needed to relieve pain and to help me lead a more active life. She gives me stretches and exercises to do at home. She is always welcoming and fun to be with.

Dr Littman was the only doctor that was able (and willing) to help me when I had a sudden attack of neuropathy. She now helps my 90 year old mom too and we both recommend her highly.

I have been to many physical therapists over the years for different body parts and after surgeries. I started going to Dr. Littman after fracturing 2 vertebrae and pinching a nerve. I have NEVER had such a talented, knowledgeable, effective, caring and easy to talk to therapist whose hands can find the tissues that need help. There are many different tools in her 'therapy bag of tricks'. She is absolutely fabulous. I won't go to anyone else.
