Missed obvious Lyme disease
Telehealth
I had a large circular rash and is was getting painful to touch. I made a telehealth appointment with Atrius to get meds for what I suspected was Lyme disease or some kind of infection. Mark looked at it and said I should get a Lyme blood test, which ain't cheap, instead of just treating it. So I get a test the next day, which comes back negative for Lyme; except the test is only valid if you've had Lyme for AT LEAST 4-6 weeks! Otherwise it's only 20% accurate. Two days after this the rash is really painful and a sweet looking bullseye and I see another telehealth and the guy just says it's Lyme, and even if it wasn't, he'd give the same antibiotics treatment. I still have a dark spot on my side from this. So, missed likely Lyme, ordered a blood test that would provide no useful information, and didn't provide treatment for the problem. Don't recommend.
