I started seeing Marlisse at the beginning of my divorce process and continued to see her as I worked through healing from that and many self-limiting thoughts.She always provided great perspective in handling narcissistic people in my life and setting healthy boundaries. I appreciated that she made herself available to give a kind word or help me shift my attitude when going through some triggering events on my healing journey.Reading Marlisse’s book was also really helpful when I was ready to start dating. She provided real world advice and guidance on understanding my worth and navigating a strange new world as a single woman after 28 years in a (less than healthy) committed relationship. I feel like I have emerged as the strongest me I have been in quite some time.I would recommend Marlisse in a heartbeat!

I started seeing Marlisse about a year ago and she’s empowered me to get my life and mental health back together. I was never the type of person willing to try therapy but decided to jump in because I had fears holding me back in life. Through therapy I discovered there was so much more to uncover. Marlisse worked with my 10 y/o son who developed anxiety seemingly out of nowhere. As a result of the unexpected anxious feelings, my son experienced panic attacks. He began seeing Marlisse weekly and with her help, he developed tools to eliminate panic attacks and minimize anxious feelings. Each visit added a new tool; resulting in a decrease in frequency of visits. My son was discharged from her care with a journal full of tools for him to utilize. My son is mature and very self-aware and felt he jived well with her personality and approach. She offered a reward system (i.e. stickers, etc.) which worked for him, and probably even more so with younger aged/ maturity level. Therefore, I feel she has a good understanding of working with a variety of aged children and adults. Marlisse was the first therapist my son ever visited. Thank you, Marlisse, for making this experience comforting and assisting in a complete positive change for our son who was struggling greatly before seeing you!

I have been working with Marlisse for the last 5 years. I had not been a big advocate of therapy but after committing to delve in and address some long-standing issues, I am now a big believer. Marlisse is very professional and compassionate but can also be firm and direct when needed. The last thing I needed was coddling and someone telling me what I wanted to hear. She had taught me how to look inward and become a better functioning person as well as helping me improve and become a better version of myself which was sorely needed. Everyone has some issues that need to be addressed and Marlisse was a perfect match to help me open up and realize I had some flawed thinking/perspectives. She is an excellent listener and extremely non-judgemental. As a beginner in the therapy process, I could have not picked a better therapist to work with. She is highly recommended.

I have been working with Marlisse for 5 years. I started with her while I was in a toxic relationship. She has helped me so much I cannot be more thankful.
