Dr. Mary Richards, PHD

Dr. Richards was a the best marriage counselor we found, and used for many years. However, her business practices left something to be desired. We finally got the help we needed with her therapy suggestions. She has studied under Goettmann. However, she was always running 45 minutes - 1 hour behind schedule, which meant we had to pay a sitter an extra 1.5 hours. She also continually billed incorrect insurances on our behalf. What's worse is our session that was to be 2 days before a series of life-threatening brain surgeries that my spouse had to undergo, she canceled last minute. She was constantly canceling on us, something that I would say occurred once every 3-4 months. She never answers her cell phone and rarely returns phone calls or text messages. When she does, it is not in a prompt manner. We are now left in a critical phase in our relationship with nowhere to turn for services. I have never been so upset with any provider in my life. I would NOT recommend her.
