Mary saved my life. I went to see her for reflux and she recognized that my symptoms were related to my heart. I saw cardiology the next day and was admitted for surgery. Thank goodness we have such a knowledgeable and caring provider in McComb. She is very caring and went out of her way to help me get my medicines. She is an excellent provider

I would NOT recommend her to anyone, especially urgent care patients. She does not listen nor care or try to understand the patient's healthcare challenges and needs. She absolutely does NOT follow-up care, nor is she accessible. Spends as little time as possible with patient, for example less than 5 mins before rushing out of the room. Poor communication skills. It appears a trend among the SouthWest system in McComb, MS. Poor Quality Healthcare! ??

I would only recommend Dr. Thornton as a last resort. She seemed extremely unconcerned about finding the best treatment plan for my condition. She prescribed me 3 different medications that had adverse side effects and interactions with each other. In the end (still without a treatment plan) she told me that I shouldn't schedule another appointment until I obtained health insurance. All of my bills were paid in full before each visit. I was extremely disappointed that she did nothing to help me!

Scheduled a colonoscopy and endoscopy on separate days. Double the doctor fees, double anesthesia, double the risk, double the dipping. Unethical.
