Matthew Applegate, ACNP

I went to Hospitality ER in Tyler because I was in so much intense knee pain. I hobbled my way in and was seen almost immediately. APRN Applegate was so kind and understanding about my pain. I had already been given pain meds so I was slurring my words and apologized for not making much sense but he quickly put me at ease. I explained how long I have had the pain and what I believed to be the onset of the pain. I was treated and then released to go home. A few days later I was still in so much pain because the meds he had prescribed was not doing anything for my pain. I reached out to the managers of the ER. I asked if I needed to come back in but they relayed a message to him instead and he quickly called me, asked about my pain, and prescribed me a different medication. I was SO grateful and hopefully on my way to better health.
