Daughter was seen in the ER. PA knew that symptomatology was probably viral related as labs and ultrasound were within normal parameters; however, despite knowing that my daughter is immuno-compromised due to her medical condition, they did not test for mono or Epstein-Barr viruses. PA claimed they were there only to rule acute pathologies and she was to be discharged home. I asked why she was not seen by an MD or DO and was told that happened only once per month. Bedside manner needs work!

After being admitted to the Shands ER for severe abdominal pain that turned out to be cancer, Matthew Alle Baggett-PA-C explained to me, when I asked for something non-narcotic for the pain, that, Cancer hurts, gotta get used to it & you need to be able to tell when its worsens (this as during the phase when it was already at a level 7 pain scale. I was in the ER for 12 hours & he only checked on me 3 times. I know they are busy, but that is horrible behavior
