What a wonderful doctor allways upbeat and positive if you have questions he will do his best to explains what is happening

My almost 89 year old father was denied by the VA — after a full assessment by a medical ophthalmologist, mobility expert, primary care physician, reaction time and memory care expert all of whom came to the conclusion that there would be no more driving for my father — when he asked them to sign his DMV paperwork allowing him to get behind the wheel of his car and continue to drive. The VA, collaboratively, said, “NO,” due to severe macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, early stage mixed dementia, mobility issues, reaction time issues and past DUI’s. My father had been in many car accidents. Dr. Bell trumped the VA. I could not understand where my father got his DMV paperwork signed, until I cleaned his house and found a letter from the DMV saying that according to their records, he had passed his eye exam and could continue to drive. I was shocked. With some detective work, I realized that my father had been to see Dr. Bell at his local Costco. Dr. Bell, without any knowledge of my father’s medical history and prior accidents — my dad was shuffling and walks with a cane and very unsteady on his feet at this time — passed my father’s eye exam and gave him carte blanche to get behind the wheel of his car and drive again. The consequences of Dr. Bell’s cavalier decision to sign that DMV paperwork for my father resulted in horrendous consequences for me and my family.
