Mathew Jarvis punishes the pain patient and hurt me more than he helped me. He's unreliable and caused numerous instances of sickness due to going without prescriptions in a regular and timely manner. He pushed buprenorphine on me which caused major dental issues and who knows what else it did to my bones. My notes were really bad and read more like fiction. They never reflected what was actually discussed at appointments. When I asked him why during a period of much distress for me over my "care" his response was "because I'm the authority". At the end Mr. Jarvis abruptly dropped me causing me a health crisis to which he reacted to by laughing in my face. I was just a cash cow to him and felt bullied by Mr. Jarvis and his staff.

Excellent care!
Dr Jarvis has been a literal life saver for me! My spine is a trash can of issues, and he handles each one with tenderness and care. I've had major surgery on my spine, and Dr Jarvis continues my aftercare even all these years later. You're definitely in good hands with him

Can not keep an appointment and the office resched
The office rescheduled my appointment 3 times. I usually see him at the taylorsville office, and they changed my last appt to another location. 3 hours before my appt they call again to reschedule to another time so I change my schedule for the earlier time. I got to appt late because of new location and they wouldnt see me because I was late. The front staff was very rude and wanted to reschedule a 4th time. I will never go here again.

I’M NOT WORTH HIS TIME
I’ve seen him on the account he cud give me a referral ASAP for someone else. I had a follow up appointment to review obvious problems as seen in my MRI an he basically walked out of the office while I was trying to ask questions! I wasn’t even in his office for 5 minutes, that included wait time until he walked in!!! However, his nurse Ann Sekutowski, helped make up a lil for his lack of interest. She’s a nurse (jus as he is) but she will take the time to talk w u an answer questions. If only she could do the scripts!!!

My experience with Dr. Jarvis was questionable.
Dr. Jarvis is a Nurse, not an MD. He seemed misinformed about the effects an MRI has on pacemaker leads. He said pacemaker leads have “electrodes” which can be damaged, along with the leads themselves. I believe an MRI can cause pacemaker leads to heat up, thereby damaging the heart. I am not aware how (or if) an MRI damages pacemaker leads; Dr. Jarvis was vague on this topic. He did not discuss treatment options for my case, other than an “injection in my neck.” He talked about an "epidural injection;" whether a local anesthetic or steroid injection was not made clear. I hope to get a 2nd opinion evaluation.

Dr. Jarvis is an AWESOME doctor. The staff at the front desk are the worst. They don’t return messages. Then blame you because you missed the window for medication refills absolutely distasteful!

I have been seeing Chuck for almost 2 years and I was reminded again today why he’s the best. He cares about my condition and takes the time To find what treatment works best even when that changes every few months. He also has shown multiple times he listens to what I say about my personal life and remembers. That is what makes a great bedside manner.
