I was there for a follow up appt from a procedure which they could have done over the phone being that I live an hour away. I’ve never seen this want to be Dr before. I have had chronic severe pain in the same area which has worsened throughout the years and is documented in my records. I have been on pain management previously but didn’t want to take pills anymore. So I have lived with the pain for a while. I asked my provider to please send me to Southern Pines because I’ve received excellent care in the past and wouldn’t mind driving an hour to get that exact care. I was in a lot of pain and am on a light narcotic waiting for the pain clinic to call. I really needed injections. I asked this man if he could give me something stronger til then but he glared at me and stated they don’t give narcotics to patients unless they operated on them. Though it wasn’t an operation I received, it was a procedure, and I was in obvious pain. I have tattoos and I feel I was judged for that.
