After having sinus surgery in the morning, my son was discharged from UGH. Later that evening he started screaming in pain. We returned to the UGH Emergency Room, and Matthew was our PA. He was very dismissive, diagnosed my son with gas pain and told me to give him Gas-X. 24-hours later the pain had not subsided. We returned to the ER and my son was diagnosed with Pneumoperitoneum-a hole in his stomach. He was airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. They cut him sternum to navel to repair a dime-sized hole and he was hospitalized for 3 weeks. I cannot stress enough- Matthew Dyer should not be a practicing PA. Avoid him like your life depends on it.
