Mauvia was over ten minutes late, spent another 10 minutes asking very generic questions about conditions and then told me I did not have any problems. She told me I outgrew ADHD and basically with a few more words and clinical terms told me I was being dramatic. She also marked several conditions which are extensively documented in my medical records and that I currently being treated for as “resolved” and removed them from my chart without my consent. She also made no effort to connect, offer empathic responses or even look at me while she asked questions in rapid fire succession. It was an awful experience. I left feeling invalidated and gaslit. I do not recommend her as a provider under any circumstances for anyone.

She was dismissive and not knowledgable. She didn’t seem to want to be there. Do not recommend.

I scheduled the appointment to be diagnosed for ADHD and when she first came on the screen she introduced herself and just started asking questions. No explanation about the process until a few questions in. It felt disconnected. It was clear during the assessment that she was weeding me out of actually being diagnosed as ADHD. She said I had red flags, but also could have anxiety. I know the DSM and I don't have anxiety. She also said people can outgrow ADHD. This is not my understanding of ADHD. I felt dismissed and not validated. There are so many other things she could have said to make me feel better and her attitude (they way I felt) was that she didn't want to be there. I wouldn't recommend anybody who is or possibly could be neurodivergent to schedule and appointment with her. Find a different Provider.

Mauvia was extremely impersonal and unprofessional. Having worked with numerous psychiatric providers previously, I strongly advise anyone looking to not waste your time with her. Nobody should ever feel belittled when seeking help.
