I was so impressed with Megan. She put me at ease as soon as she came into the room. I was nervous about this procedure but her calming effect helped me to relax. She was very confident and explained the procedure in terms that I could understand. I highly recommend her!

Thyroid Biopsy
Megan performed my thyroid biopsy. I had an excellent experience. She is so professional, kind and patient. She made me feel very calm and answered all my questions. If I need any further procedures, I will be requesting Megan to perform them. Keep up the great work, Megan!

I had a fine needle biopsy at lake norman medical center. It was done by Dr. Hunstad. I was very concerned from the beginning given that she has only been out of school for 18 months and I had researched that an experienced radiologist is needed for a thyroid biopsy. She did not appear to know what she was doing. She was poking, shaking the needle and had to do an extra pass given that the samples were insufficient. Not only was the result of the biopsy unusable, she triggered a thyroid storm which made me extremely ill. I do not recommend this doctor under any circumstances.
