Megan White, LPCMH

Megan White was not my choice for reunification therapy. She was chosen by my ex, which should have been the first red flag. In 8 months of therapy sessions, I was only given the opportunity to speak to my children once by video (said to be due to Covid). I don't understand how therapy will work if you don't actually get a chance to speak and have sessions with the children you are trying to reunite with. It was then decided by Megan that the kids would not benefit from continual therapy, and she recommended to the court to suspend scheduled appointments for a relaxed approach of "checking in" with the children periodically. It has been 9 months, and I haven't heard ANYTHING from her. Getting timely updates was like pulling teeth before, but now it is impossible. If you are looking for a therapist that will keep you updated on what is really happening in therapy and will schedule sessions with you and the children, I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

My therapist gave me Megan's name, as he knew I was looking for a therapist for my daughter. (started age 7, is now 9) My daughter has experienced a lot of pain, anxiety, and other issues, most of which stem from domestic violence. Meeting Megan is one of the best choices I've made in parenting. I wish my child didn't need it, but at least we have her. She listens, provides guidance, and has many ways to get my daughter to talk, if she doesn't want to. We're very lucky to have found her.
