She was butt hurt because she was a nurse practitioner and not a doctor. She auscultated my son's heart and lungs through the shirt. i have medical students who don't even do this! She then documented a cranial nerve and sensory exam that she never did. She documented that the baby had a wet diaper when he didn't. I asked her to discuss toddler bruises in the exam room and she didn't even know what they were. She documented bruises on the exam but not in the diagnosis and didn't even address it. She had to call her attending because she didn't know what to do and whether to get a urine or not but then documented that she called him because the mother was repeatedly? questioning her credentials. This is a false statement. It is very scary that this is the medical care that is being provided in urgent cares these days! We are seeing the demise of medicine in the US in front of our very own eyes.
