Dr. Melvin Friedman, OD

I had the most pleasant experience with Dr Friedman and his staff. First, it helps when they use their active listening skills as this facilitates a seamless objective in getting replacement eye glasses. The knowledge and practical information helps in making decisions on updating my prescriptions. I was not pressured in my decisions and I felt that I was a valued customer. I strongly suggest this privately owned optometrist for expert care and service.

When I first went to Dr. Friedman I was experiencing eye pain and had stopped wearing contacts for a few days. I was going out of town on business and was hoping for some magic, cure all drops and he would send me on my way. I went out of town, but he followed up each day, PLUS he arranged an appointment with an optometrist in the city where I was working! He went so far beyond what I was expecting it blew me away. I enjoy his dry, blunt humor, small friendly practice, and I trust him fully.

Dr. Friendman was very unprofessional! I went to him for my first eye exam and it was a total nightmare. I was told by him that I needed full time bifocals so he took me directly to the 250.00 glasses. After I paid and left I had a strange feeling so I went back and decided to look at other glasses and he got extremely upset that I was looking at cheaper glasses and called me a ding dong!!! Also, I went to get an eye exam at another place and was told that I only needed reading glasses!! Wow!
