Sessions with him feel like a battle. I could hardly finish a sentence without him interrupting me regularly. I saw him for 14 sessions and they progressively got worse. I saw him partially because I was in an abusive marriage at the time and he joked about it. When I brought up how it was hurtful the next session, he got defensive, said he wished I told him at the last session, doubled-down and didn’t apologize. What difference does it make if I tell you a joke was hurtful when you immediately make it, or at the next session? It was just part of a pattern of disrespect though - again, constant interruption, diminishing what I wanted to talk about, and EXTREMELY INAPPROPRIATE levity on multiple occasions under the guise of “dark humor”. Shame, because he seems to have a good education, but couldn’t pretend to respect me for more than 14 hours.

Dr. Schwarzchild has been so helpful to me in resolving issues that have affected me my whole life. I tried several therapists in the past but none were helpful. I think his approach is unique, effective and he delicately gets you to confront things you may not have initially intended to or even thought of as an issue. He is a great psychologist!

My 10 year old son and I went to see Schwarzchild with great intentions. We were excited to meet him and get started. My son even brought him a little gift too. The waiting room was dark and dingy, it smelled *and* he was late, but I put all of that aside because I was happily hopeful. Within literally 2 minutes of walking into his office he was such a completely rigid and disrespectful jerk that I had to get my son out of there. I am shocked. He is nasty and rude. Do not bring your child to him
