Michelle was very passive and dismissive about my concerns. After ordering an ultrasound, she called me back to tell me that "everything was fine." I'm the one who had to point to the abnormality found in the results, and give her the page number. She asked, "where did you see that?" After I pointed her to the abnormality, she persisted in downplaying the it. I asked for compression socks. She wrote the script for the wrong leg. I would not see her again. And I would not recommend her. As a Black Woman, unfortunately, these instances are more common than not, where providers dismiss our legitimate concerns, and don't give us the same level of care, attention, bed side manner, and concern that they do others. Do better.
