Miya Guten, LCSW

Similar experience as Sarah. Very hard to get a response from Miya. I had my first appointment scheduled but communicated to Miya before my appointment that I wanted to schedule others to ensure I had running weekly or biweekly appointments as they were already approved by my insurance and if I couldnt schedule consistently I didn't want to start my first session. Although Miya had that information via text for days she waited until I drove to my appointment to tell me in person she has no further appointments for quite awhile. Seems inflexible to not be able to fit someone in for an hour, even bi-weekly, very inconsiderate of my time.

I appreciate Miya Guten's gentle, yet thorough approach in counselling. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with my experience. I have been her client for over 5 years and am extremely happy with the guidance she has given me.

Miya says she conducts 15-minute introductory calls with potential clients before they come in for appointments. I emailed Miya to schedule one and we confirmed a time, but she never responded or called me. She sent an apology email a few days later. The next week, I emailed her back and we set another time for an introductory call. I asked if I should call her or if she would call me, and she assured me she would call me. Come appointment time: no call or email. Don't waste your time with her.
