My experience with this provider lacked trauma informed care. After working with her for a period of time I addressed my concerns of lacking trauma sensitivity and was responded to in a defensive, patronizing manner. Additionally I felt significant mistrust with medication management due to an experience of this provider abruptly taking me off of a medication which then led to a family member taking me to an ER when side effects of ending this med occurred. I received strong recommendations from other healthcare providers to seek psychiatric care elsewhere and ultimately did so.

In my experience this provider does not practice in a trauma informed manner. While I had many good conversations with her in the beginning of our work, ultimately her lack of trauma sensitivity as well as her unwillingness to discuss this as a concern of mine after multiple negative experiences drove me to leave. Additionally I did not feel comfortable with decisions made about my medications and was advised by other healthcare providers to seek psychiatric care elsewhere following the abrupt ending of a medication that led to side effects requiring emergency medical care.
