My adult son needed help making a follow up mental health appointment and was struggling deeply. It was very brave of him to ask for help. I was not surprised to find out he had let his medication lapse. This is common with mental heath patients. There was ZERO help brainstorming ways to help him from home immediately. There were ZERO statements of comfort, ZERO questions regarding the danger level he was in and ZERO interest in making sure he would be safe. The front line and face of this doctor's practice has made it impossible for me to allow anyone i know to trust their well being to this office. A simple caring suggestion or supportive resource tool or literally anything would have been helpful. Instead we were met with blame and attitude and even got hung up on.

Nancy is intelligent, personable, compassionate & thorough! She never rushes - she “listens”. Best care ever!!!

We really like Southland Primary. Getting an appointment is easy, messages left for the nurse are always returned in a timely manner. I love Nancy Stepanik my Nurse Practitioner. She always takes the time to listen and to find the solution for me as an individual. I would definitely recommend Southland Primary to anyone in the area.

Actually, I am not sure that I should leave my entirely positive review here because Ms. Nancy Stepanek, ARNP, might become so busy that I will not get as quick an appointment with her any more as I have been. On the other hand, she really deserves that I do so: Ms. Stepanek is what we'd all like those hurried physicians to be--she takes time to listen and yet does not waste patient's or her time but gets to the gist of things. She has an immense amount of varied medical experience, which enables her to diagnose quickly, yet she responds to the patient's wishes, if and when they don't want to be prescribed the most fashionable medication of the season! She is also sufficiently savvy in the needed technology to search for the latest information online or off. Plus she has enhanced knowledge that allows her to help heal body and soul, a human who listens and cares about her patients. I have seen her for several years now, and I can only say that the experience has been 100% positive.

She and her medical assistant are always so prompt, and so helpful. I am always able to be seen in a timely matter. I never have more than a 5 minute wait in the waiting room or the exam room. Nancy listens carefully, and never tries to rush me. I am extremely pleased.

Dr. Stepanek made me feel very comfortable and welcome. She made a a good experience rather than a scary one.

Nancy was wonderful! She answered my questions, spent the time necessary and more. She was spot on about my health issue. As nice as it is to look on the internet verses running to the doctor, it was a good thing I went. I had convinced myself I had a kidney stone, it was a strained muscle. I was glad I went and she had time to see me!
