Natile really takes the time to listen and actually cares about her patients. She doesn’t treat you like another number! Love her!??

I'm being very straightforward here - Natalie wasn't understanding at all and as a male, she expected me to be tough and resilient, and when I wasn't getting better, she put all the blame on me. Eventually I gave up on her, and lost my trust in psychiatry in general. Still have depression and anxiety and don't know what to do.

I went to Natalie for a couple years for treating serious depression, and after trying some medications that didn't work that well, she got frustrated at me and just expected me to get better on my own. She also saw me as weak and lazy, thinking that willpower and hard work could just resolve my illness. I'm still depressed and hopeless at times :(

Natalie has been friendly and welcoming since my first appointment with her. It's been over five years since that time and I would recommend her to anyone. She takes the time to answer questions and I feel that my time with her is well spent.

Natalie has been amazing, I trust her with my mental health, she's helped me get back to feeling myself and with as little medication as possible. I've been stable on only one medication and a very low dose for about 5 yrs under her care and I see my therapist. Natalie and my therapist communicate on my treatment plan regularly which I very much appreciate. I always thought a psychiatrist should have dialogue with your therapist, but it never happened with my previous psychiatrists, Natalie did it from day one and I didn't even have to suggest it to her. Her office staff is awesome at her new location at The Hauser Clinic, I almost stopped going because I couldn't handle the office staff at her old practice, Houston Adult Psychiatry, but I knew I'd never find another provider like Natalie. Natalie has gone above and beyond for me. She's written me letters and completed extra paperwork thoroughly and quickly. I can't recommend her more!

All I can say is Natalie Tellez (formerly Walker) has been, hands down, the best psychiatric provider I've ever had. It's not everyday you find this caliber of nurse practitioner. She takes her time in appointments, thoroughly discusses diagnoses and treatment options, and most important, I know she cares and is truly invested in my mental health. I've had a few psychiatrists in the past (all MDs), none of them compare to Natalie. She did a genetic test in my first appointment to help us find the right medication faster, I had never even heard of such a thing that was available. She is genuine and friendly, but knows her stuff, is very experienced. You can trust she knows what she's doing and will help you like she has helped me (and my coworkers, family, and friends, I can't tell you how many people I have referred to her over the years and they all love her). Added bonus: her office is beautiful and calm.

I have been seeing Natalie Tellez for almost 10 years now, here in Houston. I have enjoyed our patient relationship very much and she has been great! Been there through thick and thin and worked very well with me, as well as Dr. Chen. I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend her.

This is challenging to write, but I would avoid Natalie Walker. She was not emphatic at all and just expected the medications would work, and blamed me when I talked about side effects being tough to stomach. I believe she needs to be retrained and realize that depression and anxiety are serious diseases, and to really show compassion and empathy to people struggling with these life-threatening illnesses.

Not recommended. I went to her for a few years and she was not helpful in answering my questions or even understanding simple aspects of clinical depression. Just gave me a bunch of medications that barely worked. I recommend choosing someone with better knowledge, empathy, and experience.
