Ned Presnall, MSW

Unfortunately I found Ned to be dismissive and unhelpful. His sessions only made existing family issues worse by justification and excuses. Ned seems to not truly have much empathy at all. He also allowed a group family therapy session regarding abuse to start without all parties in the room because I was less than 5 minutes late. Ned ended up taking the stance of standing up for the people abusing me, citing who was paying the bill as part of his stance. If I could give 0/5 stars, sadly I would.

I have seen Ned mult times for family therapy. To keep it short and to the point, Ned was not helpful at all. Not only was he complacent when it came to countering the abuse I was experiencing, he also offered absolutely no problem solving and said therapy wouldn’t be helpful. I am a survivor of a TBI and human trafficking for labor in the cannabis industry. My “ parents “ live in a fantasy land of denial and actively antagonize me in viscious ways, then act like nothing happened and they have no idea what I’m talking about. Ned completely enables this behavior. It puts a huge amount of stress on me. I feel disappointed, confused, frustrated, hurt, angry and isolated after seeing Ned. We have gone to multiple sessions from 2014-2021. None of them were helpful at all. I have contacted APS, the police, talked to my GP, mult other therapists, ER doctors, EMS and family law lawyers about this abuse. They were at least somewhat helpful. If I could give Ned 0/5 stars, I would.

It's a little tacky to leave a public review about an experience as private and personal as a talk-therapy session can be (oh hello, Metadata), but I'll just say that over the years I've met with Ned, he's favored an "engineering your environment" approach to behavioral problem solving. Smart guy. Has a sense of humor

He had absolutely no skills to offer our teen who was in crisis. His only recommendation was to punish her for not coming to therapy. He claims to be a cognitive behavioralist but beyond quoting a definition of behavioralism, he is lost.
