Dr. Neil Margolis, OD

I went for an eye exam and was told I needed some therapy. Tried to schedule this and was told there were no openings. I called back - haven't heard anything from them in ten months - and was told that now I need to come in for another eye exam since it's been almost a year. I don't have insurance for this - why should I pay for this when they couldn't be bothered to schedule my therapy. Total money grab if you ask me. I found somewhere else to go.

My daughter was diagnosed with Occular Dysfunction when she was in the middle of third grade by Dr Margolis. She struggled for her first several years of school not being able to read. The school suggested a possible ADD diagnosis but as a Child Adolescent Therapist I knew different. My daughter received a year of Vision Therapy through Dr Margolis office... Alexis met with her. Our insurance wouldn’t cover it but we took a chance that this would help. Well my daughter is a Freshman in College , graduated from High School with State Honors and I want to say because of that year commitment of vision therapy it completely changed the trajectory of her life. I didn’t do a health grades review before because honestly sometimes we do things to try to help our kids and we never know if it will help our children or not. Dr Margolis and his team made a difference to my daughter’s life and I will always be thankful for that. He is thee best!

Dr. Marogolis made a comment in front of my daughter that no doctor should say. "I cannot help it if your daughter is lazy." My daughter is far from lazy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, vision therapy, homework that takes 3 hours each night...does not sound lazy to me rather driven to succeed. She was dyslexic! He needs to brush up on his differential diagnosis of extraocular eye muscle weakness vs dyslexia. No health provider should say that to a child with a developing self-esteem.

He is the very best Doctor I have ever experienced!
