Dr. Osvaldo Gaytan Jr, MD

Dr. Gaytan has really helped me through the process of dealing with a difficult teenager who is also afflicted by mental health issues. As a parent I can tell you that my teenager feels at ease with him and Dr. Gaytan takes the time to fully explain everything without making you feel rushed. Glad to have found him. Very satisfied with his care. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

I've recently been struggling with my teenage son's mental health issues for years but recently to the extreme which have landed him at the mental hospital three times this year. Since the COVID-19 Pandemic broke out his psychiatrist was switched over to only attending adult patients so we were left scrambling looking for a new doctor. Two of the three times my son was admitted to the hospital, Dr. Gaytanwas his attending psychiatrist. From these past and ongoing experiences I can tell you that Dr. Gaytan is by far an excellent adolescent psychiatrist and very understanding. Most importantly he is very thorough and unlike other doctors he actually takes the time to talk to the parents regarding their child's condition, diagnosis, the therapeutic medical and, medication approach. He truly cares about his patients and building that rapport with their parents with full transparency. Very professional. Highly recommend! I'm so glad he accepts Medicaid.

I saw Dr. Gaytan when I was in high school suffering from the aftermath of an emotionally abusive father. He not only ended up treating me for a disorder I did not have but he outrageously overdosed the amount of medication he prescribed. I was at 97lbs taking 6 Prozac a day. I honestly don't know how this doctor is still practicing and do not recommend him.

He recommends suspending visitation from non custodial parent without even bothering to talk a minute with non present father.

When our daughter was a teenager, she had issues with rage and violence. After exhausting almost every other doctor here in town, we found Dr. Gaytan to be truly interested in her as a person, who took the time to gauge her progress, and made adjustments as necessary. He cared for her.
