I’m a combat Vietnam war survivor, I have been introduced to countless mental therapists since my experience in the aforementioned. None of those experiences helped in the least. Yet, after just a few mental therapy sessions with Dr. Skorstad, I discovered a mental therapist that honestly, listened and understood the reality of a persons PTSD. Dr. Skorstad and I connected right away. She listens attentively, asks insightful questions and has a calming presence about her. She is the perfect combination of supportive and nurturing but also challenges you to make progress and realistic changes. Dr. Skorstad was welcoming and friendly from the very first meeting making me feel comfortable instantly. She was calm, supportive and asked many questions to start to get a feel for me as person - my marriage, kids, family life, parents and siblings. I've only seen her once but I feel optimistic already that she's going to help me with my concerns especially because she wrapped up our first meeting suggesting one of my biggest fears that was spot on and that I had not even yet realized.

You could not ask for a more caring doctor. She is kind, attentive and listens. I can not praise her enough. She has help me so much with my thinking process and tips on how to help me get better. Ten stars if I could.
