Dr. Barrows is very astute, caring, compassionate, and is the best provider I've found in my life so far. I've been a regular patient of hers for a number of years, and I fear the day I may have to move or change insurance and lose her as my provider. I can't speak highly enough about her. There aren't enough words.

Dr. Barrows is insightful. She is the type of therapist who is willing to point out your weakness so that you can become stronger. She assigns homework and follows up on your assignments during the next session to ensure you continue to progress outside of your sessions in person with her and are thoughtful about your own situation. She has some wonderful reading recommendations as well. She is very willing to listen but will also ensure she provides her own insight because that's what you want from a therapist, a second mind helping you overcome whatever obstacles are in front of you!

I can only share my opinion about the doctor's assistant/office manager. I made an appointment recently and called the day of, in order to confirm the time. The assistant told me that my appointment was cancelled because they could not reach me when they called to confirm. First she told me that they had called once and didn't reach me. Then she said they had called twice, and then she said numerous times.. I asked if they left a message and she avoided the response and started to talk over me. In 2019, our phones show everything and there were no calls or messages in my log. She became belligerent and insulting and told me to 'go find a different therapist.' I have never encountered anyone like this in a service position. Especially one that deals with people who may be suffering from issues..

She was alright. She listened.Sometimes I felt judged . Why I stopped seeing her..... she was going to charge 50.00 for an appt I cancelled the day of when I had never been told of the raise in this policy fom 25 to 50$. Her secretary said I had but I know I wasn't. I was upset and really didn't care that much for Patti or I might have excused the error.
