Peter Ford, APRN

I’ve been going to HHC for years and have always had great experiences with Dr. Fowler and her team. However, my visit with APRN Peter Ford was the worst medical experience I’ve ever had. He barely reviewed my history, made assumptions about my weight struggles, and dismissed any possible treatments, claiming I might just have the “fat gene.” He also went on unrelated tangents, including asking if I knew anyone who had gotten a speeding ticket ,I still have no idea what his point was. He showed no care no encouragement, and I left feeling frustrated and defeated. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was so bad that I felt I had to. Needless to say, I will never return. Minus 10 starts from me

First, let me start by saying that I’ve been going to HHC for all my medical needs for years. My primary doctor is Dr. Fowler, and I absolutely love her. I’ve been with her group for years and have nothing but great things to say about them.However, I had my first visit with APRN Peter Ford today, and it was the worst experience of my life. I have never wanted to stop in the middle of a doctor’s visit and walk out so badly. This man walked in with an air of superiority, and the first thing out of his mouth wasn’t to go over my medical history no, he barely glanced at whatever small details he had on me before launching into a speech about himself, his many years of so-called experience, and his assumptions about my weight struggles. He basically told me that no medication or treatment would work for me because I might just be one of those people with the “fat gene,” and nothing could be done about it. He went on and on about nonsense, even asking if I had ever gotten or knew anyone who had gotten a speeding ticket. I don’t even know what his point was my guess is it was supposed to be an analogy, but I still have no clue what he was trying to say. When I tell you this was the most disheartening experience of my life, I mean it. I left feeling like it was a complete waste of time and money and, more than that, feeling defeated. Not once did he encourage me or even pretend to care. I have to wonder who is writing these positive reviews because my experience couldn’t have been further from that.I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but this experience was so bad that I feel like I have to. Needless to say, I will never, ever return. If I could give minus stars he gets -10 ????

Peter is awesome. He gives you the tools you need and supports you with any questions you have.

After a few times playing phone tag, I finally got to schedule my first appointment. I was apprehensive but was immediately put at ease after meeting Peter Ford. He reviewed my plan thoroughly and took the time to answer all of my questions. I was never rushed and felt a true sense of support.

This provider is friendly and courteous. I left our visit with the motivation needed to continue on the plan laid out for me and well satisfied with the achieved results.
