Dr. Peter Oas, PHD

I saw Dr. Oas as a teenager. It's been nearly 20 years, so the details are fuzzy, but I remember him pulling out a paddle and threatening to beat me for refusing to answer a question. I noticed he is still in practice, so I thought I should warn prospective patients. The guy is an abuser. His actions are the direct cause of my inability to trust mental healthcare professionals to this day.

His office on the bay is such a nice place to talk. When I have an issue I call and make an appointment. In fact I think I'll make an appointment Monday. He is such a good listener and a wise member of our community.

This so called Dr., spends more time lying than listening. He should not even have a practice. If you have a child DO NOT USE him….Look him up in the state license for Florida…He has been disciplined..for children.

Lost complete trust of him - couldn’t remember anything I would tell him and then wrote down things that I never even said. I would never recommend anybody to see him. If I could rate him a zero I absolutely would.

I SAW DR PETER T OAS AND HE WAS A REAL PAIN HE WAS QUIET THE WHOLE TIME MY FAMILY SAW HIM HE DIDNT SPEAK ONE WORD TILL MY ANGER GOT WORSE THEN HE SPOKE SAID THAT HE WANTED TO PUT ME TO KENNEDY KREAGER IN BALTIMORE MARYLAND FOR ABOUT FOUR TO SIX MONTHS THEN ONE DAY HE WAS REALLY BEING DISREPECTFUL PUTING ME DOWN AND MY FAMILY AND THEN HE SAID I DIDNT DERSERVE MY MOM THEN I SNAPED WAS GOING TO ATTACK HIM AND HE SAID GO ON DO IT I CALL THE COPS RIGHT NOW AND HAVE YOU ARESSTED THEN HE TRYED TO BACKERACT ME BUT FAILED MISERABLY DOING SO AND WHEN HE FAILED TO BACKERACT ME THATS WHEN WE STOPED GOING TO SEE DR OAS HE SAID TO ME IF IT ISNT PAINFUL ENOUGH OR UNPLEASENT ENOUGH IM NOT GOING TO CHANGE HE ONLY CARES ABOUT TELLING PARENTS TO DO CORPAL PUNISHMENT AND HE ONLY CARES ABOUT SENDING PEOPLE AWAY TO MENTAL HOSPTIALS AND LETTING THEM STAY THERE UNTIL THEY DIE OR CHANGE THERE WAYS HES AND EVIL OLD DOCTOR THAT NEEDS TO BE STOPED OR ELSE THERE WILL BE A LAWSUIT ON YOU DOCTOR PETER T OAS

Im surprised Dr. Oas's rating is as high as it is. I was in family therapy with Dr. Oas when I was around 7-9 years old, as my parents were going through a divorce and we though it best to all get therapy. During my time with Dr. Oas, he regularly encouraged my parents to spank me and my brother, flick our ears, pinch us, etc., claiming that pain was the only way to discipline a child. He forced eye contact during sessions, which was especially upsetting to me as a young child with severe untreated ADHD and potential undiagnosed autism. If we failed to make eye contact when someone spoke in session he would punish us with embarrassment by making us sing or exercise in front of everyone, regardless of how much we cried. For someone with so much qualification, Dr. Oas caused massive, long-lasting trauma. I cannot think of a single thing that my family gained from seeing him, and I would never in a million years reccommend his "treatment" to my greatest enemies.
