Dr. Phil Striegel, LMFT

The worst decision our family ever made was choosing Phil Striegel as a family and individual therapist.Don’t be fooled by his first impressions, in which he appears as an angel of light, an innocuous presence in the room to listen to and help resolve any family situation or relationship. Unfortunately, he will ultimately exacerbate family and relational tensions that turn family and relationship members against each other, and then refuses to offer or provide any path of resolution or therapeutic support. I guess the perpetual stream of health insurance payments keeps these “experts” living well, unlike the families and couples that he is supposedly treating. Very sad.He’ll indulge in sharing his personal life stories and situations for 25 to 50 percent of the time scheduled for YOUR therapeutic session. And if you have a job and schedule time off to visit Phil Striegel, you should know that he has no respect for you or your employer’s time, the appt is never on time.

Dr. Striegel is the best healthcare provider I have ever had, let alone being the very best of all the psychiatric providers I have ever met or of whom I know. Dr. Striegel truly cares about his patients. He really listens, not only to what I say, but also to what it means to me. He is amazingly empathetic and understands how the things that have happened to me affect my sense of self and my mental health. He is highly skilled and explains his process, so I can understand how and why my treatment is helping me. Not only is he knowledgable about psychological theories and treatments, but he understands and can clearly explain the underlying neurobiology. I would ascribe my improved mental health and success in life primarily to the treatment and care I have received from him. I feel extremely grateful to have known and collaborated with Dr. Striegel.
