Dr. Phillip Haiman, OD

This place is a SCAM. They do your test and then ask you to pay a huge amount. The asking my husband to pay $400 for a visit and then another $200 after that. That is CRAZY!!! Do not go.

I experienced the same deceptive behavior as two of the below patients. Phillip Haiman did not provide to me any non-routine services nor performed any additional procedures, yet I was billed for a "Medical Exam" at twice the rate of the routine eye exam I received. Phillip is more concerned with pushing his "treatment" for blepharitis, or DRY EYES, than he is with providing quality care. Prior to reading me my diagnosis he even commented how heavily involved he was in the research and treatment of blepharitis (dry eyes). I have worn glasses for years and visited several other doctors for routine examinations in the past, none of which diagnosed me with this "condition." This is a clear pattern of deceit, and most likely a core part of Phillip's business practice. If you are looking for a routine eye exam, please avoid this office.

Excellent optometrist! Intelligent, educated, caring. Keeps up with all the latest information. Has up to date, modern equipment. Listens carefully and gives excellent advice. His office staff is just like him - awesome! I would highly recommend Dr Haiman.

I had the same exact experience as someone who posted a review here about this doctor’s agenda to sell his treatment for blepharitis. This doctor told me I had really dry eyes and that I had blepharitis in my eyes and couldn’t wear contacts, he tried to sell me this procedure that he does in the office to cure the blepharaitis. Before I did it, I went to an ophthalmologist for deeper examination and for a second opinion and they told me I was fine and had no blepharitis.

I've trusted Dr. Haiman as my Optometrist for years now and he's always been very friendly, thorough, and has a way of making his patients feel comfortable that you can't find just anywhere. I'd strongly recommend him for anyone I'm the Sunrise area in need of an eye doctor.

Seams like Dr. Haiman starts out with the agenda to sell his treatment for Blepharitis. I answered no to the questions that he ask about the symptoms and he charged more to take pictures to show me that I had redness that I was not asking about. Which cost extra, then charged more for the so-called medical exam. then tried to sell a $200.00 treatment for something that I don't have. I talked to other patients and they confirmed that they had had the same experience!

Dr. Haiman and staff are good as they come. The Dr. Haiman takes great pride in caring for his patients. Explaining what is necessary about your condition and why. He cares and is committed in helping what ever the problem maybe with your condition. His staff is there giving the proper test for your condition, as well as explaining why. I would recommend him to all my friends and relatives because he takes great care of you as a person and as a patient. He is the best I have ever come across.
