Great experience
This doctor understood and informed me more about my disease than my primary care doctor did. He understood everything about my problems. He provided me with different medications that have been helpful, along with lifestyle changes that are helping. He was caring and sensitive to my illness. I want him to be my primary care doctor. He listened.

Great with children
My autistic daughter had been vomiting, a little blood in her diarrhea, fever with a rash, which was unusual since I am a mother of 3 kids. My daughter is a moderate autistic child, who really does not warm up to strangers, especially to doctors. I was very concerned. Having a large family, I have seen the typical ' stomach bug' before, but nothing like this. The doctor washed his hands and sat down and listened. He told me that he would first examine me, so my daughter saw that he was friendly and build trust. He examined me, then examined my daughter, going back and forth between the 2 of us. I could see that my daughter felt comfortable with his exam. The doctor knew what the condition was before any tests were performed. He told me and my husband that it was very likely ( i know I'm spelling this wrong ) Henoch-Shoelon purpura. He had my daughter admitted for observation and seen by the peds gi specialist., The specialist agreed. He is amazing! We want him as our family doctor!

Excellent doctor
I am 56 years old and have had many UTI's in the past 2 years. There always has been infection, nitrites, in my urine along with blood cells. I seen Dr. Mathieson, who was the only doctor who stressed and informed me to follow up after I completed my antibiotics, to be certain that my infection cleared up, as well as my red blood cells seen in my urine for the past 2 years. I followed his advice, and he ordered a CAT scan of my kidneys, ureter and bladder as well as blood work and urine cultures. There was cancerous cells in my urine, an my cat scan showed cancer that had been present in my right kidney for over two years. He saved my life. Dr. Mathieson was the only doctor to strongly encourage me to have more tests on the red blood cells in my urine that i couldn't see, I am doing much better. He is not only very nice and easy to look at, but he also saved my life.

Very disappointing.
He also works for Ceasars Palace to treat employee injuries. I landed there last week and he never offered even an x-ray. His diagnostic was 'lower knee sprain'. Sprain what? How would I know exactly what happened without an MRI? I feel so stupid for leaving that office without a referral for an MRI, but in the shock and confusion from the pain, you just want to get out of there. And of course, he didn't mention my alternatives or the possibility of filling a C-4 form to seek medical treatment and/ or compensation.

I am shocked and appalled at the comments about Dr Mathieson. I have been seeing Dr Mathieson for the past year, and my entire household got bronchitis from our son's infection from school. Dr Mathieson wrote me a script for a nebulizer for our entire family and went out of his way to even get us an elephant one for our son! Class act!!!

My dtr (11) & I came into SWM urgent care for signs of strep throat. The nursing staff did our swabs and sent us to a room. He asked why I was there. I said I have strep. I had been seen at another location the day before and was dx with the flu. Today I saw white spots on my throat. He says I wasn't seeing spots I was seeing the reflection of the light off the ceiling. Seriously? He hadn't even seen my results he left to get them and lone behold they were positive! His ego gets in his way.

I saw Raymond Mathieson at SW Medical Urgent Care on Saturday 6/24. He was attentive, friendly, informative. I would recommend him to anyone. I would very much like to have him as primary for my medical care.

I saw Raymond Mathieson at SW medical urgent care last night. I walked in, with excruciating stomach pain, They got me in quickly and into a room w/blood work and anti nausea medication in a matter of minutes. He came in and was very friendly and sympathetic to my pain! I left there with medication and understanding of what was going on! I highly recommend.

Mr. Mathieson is the worst "medical professional" I have ever met. He is rude and condescending. He did not listen, he was annoyed and dismissive. He did not introduce himself or wash his hands. He was zero help and has zero compassion. Please, if you can see another provider. It is very sad that his type is in the medical field. Very poor communication skills. Very unfortunate he works with the public in the medical field.

I saw Raymond Mathieson at Southwest Medical Associates Urgent Care. Despite the fact the clinic was short staffed and the computers were down, he was very friendly and upbeat and I felt confident he would explore every possibility of my pain. Luckily it turned out to be only an infection, but he ruled out all other possibilities and I left feeling like he really cared about my health and well-being. Because I checked in online & waited at home, I waited less than 10 mins in the waiting room.

I would not recommend this place. The lady was giving me false answers about our insurance. She was not competent enough to answer billing questions. She hanged up while I was talking to her. My husband received a bill after 3 years and on the bill there was payment done Dec. 2015. We never used our credit card for this doctor so the lady told me the insurance used our credit card to pay such amount.... Such rediciculous answer. insurance never use credit card of patients to pay bills. No star !
