Good 'friend'. Bad Therapist
Rhonda has been working with my child for several years. While my child enjoys their sessions with her, there has been no noticeable improvement in emotional regulation or interpersonal skills.She has minimal communication with parents and frequently cancels appointments. When my husband and I have expressed concerns, they have been dismissed. Although she claims to teach coping and social skills, we have not observed any progress at home.If you're looking for someone who will listen and provide a space for your child to talk, Rhonda may be a good fit. However, if your goal is meaningful skill development in social and emotional areas, you will want to consider other options.
