The medical aspects of Rick's practice, such as running tests, innoculations, etc., are thorough, appropriate and timely, as one should expect from a doctor. However, his personality sets him well ahead of the hoi polloi of the medico. He listens. The resulting treatments dovetail with his patient's abilities, intellect, finances and life style. He is not judgmental. His manner is amicable, warm-hearted and gracious. His sense of humor is delightful and disarming. He is a true healer.
