Richard Rovet, NP

My mom has been going to Richard for years now. At the beginning, he seemed to be very genuine and caring. Over the last couple of years, he has seemed too busy to maintain his care for her. His forgetfulness has become very bothersome to her treatment...or lack thereof. We have repeatedly asked for him to switch meds to home delivery so that my mom and I do not have deal with who is picking them up. He hardly ever replies to texts and if he does, it's days later. Today, we've attempted two telehealth calls with him. He never connected with either one even though his secretary says that he did! We've waited over 45 minutes between the two calls and have gotten nobody on the other end. We have tried calling the office several times and never get anyone to answer the phone. I have no idea how there are 5 star reviews for this guy. Seems like maybe he's already thinking about retirement.

I have been with Richard for several years. After treatments at diffrent hospitals and other therapist around Rochester New york none of them came close to treating my Anxiety, Depression and my Agoraphobia at the level of care he has. There is not enough I can say to thank him for what he has done. He treated more like a person more than just another client. He actually worked hard so I could meet my goals. Recently I been to the mall for the first time a long time. Now instead of being nervous and scared I am actually looking forward for a nice vacation after spending years afraid to leave my house. Richard just make his appointments with me entertaining and his sense of knowledge certainly makes you feel safe and has been the best treatment . It's sad some of these Doctors don't have the knowledge and sympathy Mr. ROVET HAS!

I have been seeing Rich for 4 years now, individually and for marital counseling. I have seen multiple psychiatrists and psychologists throughout my life, but I have had the best success with Rich. Not only did I finally get the proper diagnosis, but I was finally put on a medication that has helped me tremendously. Even through my greatest turmoils, Rich has been in close contact with me to help me through and has gone above and beyond to be there for me in whatever professional capacity I have needed him for. Even if I moved out of Rochester, I would stay in touch with Rich because he can meet with his patients through video call. Truly a very knowledgable professional and a great person in general.

Richard is the absolute best! He's kind ,compassionate, caring and have never felt rushed. He has helped me through the toughest time in my life and I have him to thank for where I am today! He has a true passion for what he does and you are never treated as another number or patient when you choose Mr. Rovet. I'm so thankful for my primary provider referral to him.

Three years ago my psychologist referred me to Richard to help find a solution for my serious sleep disorder which had been preventing me from living a normal life for over a decade. Richard's holistic approach to medicine and experience as a NP virtually cured me of this disorder. In the past, I had met with neurologists who dismissed my disorder as something annoying which I should just deal with. Richard didn't share that opinion and took my situation seriously. He continued to search for the right medication and dosage, appointment after appointment, until we found something that was dialed in and a perfect fit. It completely changed my life, allowing me to complete my education and get a normal full-time job. A few reviews here mention how he can be slow to reply to a message. While this has happened to me, it's rare and he always follows up. Nearly every message that I've sent is responded to within a day. Richard is a great listener and most importantly, he gets results.

Mr. Rovet appears to be a very caring man. If you don’t mind waiting days for a response to your emails, then he might be right for you. After two mails for a refill for a medication, I finally had to have my primary care physician phone it in. Totally unacceptable. Appears he is too busy to take care of his patients 100%.

Richard has always been the most involved provider in my care because of the holistic approach he takes. He is a phenomenal advocate for his patients and is extremely empathetic. Lastly he has restored my faith in God because he offered Christ-Centered counseling in a time when I was most doubtful.

He is a very genuine, caring professional. Makes me feel heard and understood. Doesn't waste time on different "theories" of therapy. Just is really there with you. A truly empathetic therapist and person.

Best psychiatrist professional I’ve been to. If I had to make one comment that isn’t 100% positive about him it would be that he occasionally ran a little behind the scheduled appointment time but more recently it has become a rare occurrence.

Richard is probably my favorite mental health practitioner I’ve encountered thus far... I’ve seen several. He genuinely cares and listens. He’s kind and also funny. I absolutely trust him with my mental health. Tina is also absolutely amazing. I love them dearly.

Richard goes above and beyond for his patients. During sessions if you are close on time he doesn’t cut you off. He’s also very good at steering away from prescription drugs and willing to try holistic methods. Richard is simply amazing and he has worked miracles on me. Tina the office manager is also a god send! She makes each individual person feel welcomed. She’s friendly and compassionate. Tina and Richard work together beautifully as a team. Richard focuses on treating me as a whole, not just as a diagnosis. He listens to what I have to say and I feel my opinions matter when it comes to my treatment plan. I've never had a problem scheduling appointments. Also, he has been very helpful pointing me in the direction of resources of which I was unaware.

Very smart man who looks at you as a whole. He does not just push problems off to other Medical personal if he can help.
