My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Wood for several years and have been very happy with his excellent care. In past years, the front office was friendly, competent and well-run--not so any more by a long shot and we have decided that we just cannot deal with office staff any longer. They have ignored our calls, handed over new glasses without any adjustments, and appear to be generally untrained and apathetic.

Dr. Wood is fine, however his front office is horrendous. He will lose patients solely because customers don't want to deal with them. For over 10 years I have been a patient, but have had enough. The last straw was them sending bills via email containing confidential information (birthdays, addresses, medical information) which is a violation of HIPAA. I tried to bring this to their attention multiple times, but they only sent MORE information in their response. I must file a complaint now

Seldom do I write reviews. Last year the prices increased and it was explained to me that I would be getting discounts on the contact solution for a little extra. I didn't get the discounts on the solutions. They began the conversation this year about the discounts and I explained that I didn't receive it last year and I am not interested. This year I decided to have them do the exam and get the contacts from Costco which were $100 less. When I went to the front desk to pay, it was explained

I have visited this office several times over the past couple of years. Dr Wood is very nice and has great knowledge and explained everything to me thoroughly, however he assumed I would want to be poked and prodded on two different occasions by doctoral students who had very little working knowledge on what they were looking for and less experience on how to find the results in the exam. This left my eyes very irritated and also kept me in the office on both occasions for over two hours each
