Robert Anderson

We drove to Mayo Clinic from Chicago to meet NP Anderson to get a 2nd opinion regarding a PET scan that showed a highly suspicious lung nodule in my right lung. As a former smoker the concern was small cell cancer which has a poor 5 yr prognosis. I was scheduled for a bronchoscopy in Chicago the following week but decided to get a 2nd opinion first and I was glad I did. NP Anderson spent nearly an hour with me explaining in detail why he thought the nodule was not likely small cell. His explanations were clear and made sense. He was kind and thorough. I decided to cancel the bronchoscopy and wait to get a second CT scan in February. The suspicious nodule is hopefully from a fungal infection scar which we hope can be confirmed at the next CT scan. I can't say enough good things about our experience with NP Robert Anderson!!
