Robin Friedman, LCSW

Excellent therapist, so many positives. This is a place where I feel heard, seen and accepted. I gained so much and highly recommend this therapist.

During a recent therapy session with Robin Friedman, she said to me (and these were her exact words), "You need to have things taken away from you because you are a white male." This shocked me. It floored me. And it hurt me. I never, at any point, said anything to Robin, during this session or countless others, that was discriminatory in nature towards anyone. I would never say this stuff because I don’t feel it. I am married to someone who immigrated to the United States, and who was not fluent in English when she came here. I have watched her struggle as a result, and am extremely empathetic towards immigrants, people of color, the LBTG community, as well as every other minority group. I walked out of our session with 15 minutes left because I wasn't going to be attacked during therapy. I'm pretty sure that Robin would be disciplined if I reported her. But I believe in forgiveness which shows that she's wrong about this white guy.
