Robin Ruscio, MA

I worked with Robin for several years, and until a chronic illness turned disabling, had known him to be a warm and compassionate therapist. He didn't seem to understand the complexities of my disease, and I often felt patronized, belittled and judged for my treatment goals and medical decisions. Our relationship became strained, and he ultimately made comments that were, at best, unprofessional and well outside his scope of expertise, and at worst, cruel and insensitive. When I attempted to transition to a more knowledgeable therapist, he became overly defensive, and made the termination process needlessly difficult and demeaning. I cannot recommend Robin for anyone whose mental health needs include coping with chronic pain, physical illness or disability.
